How many embryos can be transferred into a women’s uterus?

According to the joint SOGC-CFAS guidelines, it is recommended that the number of embryos that can be transferred into a women’s uterus after in-vitro fertilization is 2 in women below the age of 35. Between ages 35 and 39, 3 embryos can be transferred. Four embryos can be transferred if the woman is above 39.
