How many edges does a cone have?
A cone has one edge. This, however, is only applicable in terms of the polyhedral definition of an edge as ‘Ëœa straight line that is the intersection of two faces of a solid figure’â„¢, or in terms of plane geometry where an edge is ‘Ëœa boundary of a plane geometric figure’â„¢. In loose, general terms, a one-edged cone is also accepted. This is according to Doctor Peterson of the University of Drexel’â„¢s the Math Forum.
