How many Earths can fit in the sun?
According to the NASA World Book, the sun has a diameter is at 1,391,000 km. The Earth, on the other hand, has an average diameter of 13,000 km. This means that along the diameter of the sun 107 Earths can be placed side to side. To measure the number of Earths that can fit in the sun, we cube this number (multiply 107 x 107 x 107). The result is 1,225,043 Earths.
