There are 284.288 million digital subscriber line (DSL) users worldwide by September 2009. This is according to a press release by the Broadband Forum published in September 2009, which stated that ‘Å“broadband lines in the world now top 444.2 million’, and shows that 64% (or 284.288 million) of global broadband market shares is taken up by DSL.
