How many defects are there in Six Sigma?

99.9999998% of the products are free of defects

Not too many people know that Six Sigma is a set of strategies, techniques, and tools for process improvement.  Six Sigma was developed by Motorola.   The main idea is that Six Sigma seeks to improve the quality of process outputs.  Keep in mind that Six Sigma tries to identify and remove the causes of defects (errors) and minimizes the variability in manufacturing and business processes.     It is interesting to know that a six sigma process is one in which 99.9999998% of the products manufactured are statistically expected to be free of defects.
