Coffee shops have always been extremely popular in America.  There were about 20,000 coffee shops in the U.S. in 2011.  Their revenues were of $10 billion.  There are many coffee drinkers in the U.S.  Imagine that over 75% of U.S. adults drink coffee, and 58% drink coffee daily.  Moreover, there are more coffee drinkers than tea drinkers (183 million coffee drinkers to 173.5 million tea drinkers).  Needless to say, coffee represents the number one beverage when it comes to hot beverages.
