The statistics from the National Cancer Instituteâ€™s Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) program show that more than 12 million Americans had cancer in 2009. Moreover, about 1,638,910 new cancer cases were expected to be diagnosed in 2012. Most cancer survivors are adults. Unfortunately, cancer represents the second most common cause of death following heart diseases. This illness represents a real threat for mankind. In 2022, the estimated number of cancer survivors for men is going to be 8,796,830 and for women 9,184,550. Not too many people know that February 4th is considered to be World Cancer Day. Ending cancer has recently become a global priority.
