How many bones are there in feet?
26 in each foot
Everyone knows that the foot is the terminal portion of a limb which bears weight and allows locomotion. It is interesting to know that the human foot and ankle is a strong and complex mechanical structure containing exactly 26 bones, 33 joints and more than a hundred muscles, tendons, and ligaments. These bones represent 25% of the bones from the entire body. It is also useful to know that the forefoot is composed of five toes and the corresponding five proximal long bones forming the metatarsus.
