How many Bitcoin blocks are there?
Not too many people know that data is permanently recorded in the Bitcoin network through files called blocks. What is a block? Well, a block is a record of some or all of the most recent Bitcoin transactions that have not yet been recorded in any prior blocks. In some exceptional cases, new blocks are added to the end of the record (also known as blck chain). Keep in mind that once written, these blocks are never changed or removed. The good news is that each block memorializes what took place immediately before it was created.
