What is a biotech company?  It is interesting to know the fact that a biotechnology company is a company whose products or services primarily use biotechnology methods for their production, design or delivery.  Not too many people know that there are 1,466 biotech firms in the United States.  Needless to say, 318 of them are publicly traded.  It is interesting to know the fact that more than 200,000 total people work at these companies.  Keep in mind the fact that the biotech industry is significantly smaller than the pharmaceutical industry.
