How many Bengal tigers are left in the wild?

It is important to know that there are approximately 2500 Bengal tigers left in the wild.  Here is their distribution: 1,706–1,909 in India, 440 in Bangladesh, 163–253 in Nepal and 67–81 in Bhutan.  Unfortunately, since 2010 the Bengal tiger has been classified as an endangered specie by the IUCN.  It is widely known the fact that the Bengal tiger’s coat is yellow to light orange, with stripes ranging from dark brown to black.  Moreover, the belly and the interior parts of the limbs are white, and the tail is orange with black rings.
