It is important to know the fact that the problem of begging is one of the most serious problems India has to deal with.  Believe it or not, there are approximately 4 million beggars in India.  Keep in mind that they earn approximately 45 million dollars.  It is definitely a huge amount of money.  What do they do with these funds?  Well, they spend 20% of their earning on food requirement and as much as 30% on smoking and drinking.
