Just over 4 million babies are born in the United States each year.  This is definitely something.  It is interesting to know the fact that the U.S. birth rate grew every year from 2003 to 2007 and has been declining since.  The financial crisis had a significant impact on the number of births.  Keep in mind that the most popular day for babies to make their entrance is Tuesday, followed by Monday.  It is interesting to know the fact that the number of births went down for 40 states.  Moreover, it remained about the same for the rest of the states in 2009.
