How many axons are there per neuron?

One axon

It is widely known the fact that a neuron, also known as a neurone or nerve cell is an electrically excitable cell that processes and transmits information through electrochemical signals. It is important to know that a typical neuron possesses a cell body (often called the soma), dendrites, and an axon.  Neurons are connected to each other and form neural networks.  Specialists say that the axon is a special cellular extension that arises from the cell body at a site called the axon hillock.  It travels for a distance, as far as 1 meter in humans or even more in other species.  It is extremely interesting to know that the axon may branch hundreds of times before it terminates.
