Number of Axons in a Nerve

How many axons are there in a nerve?

0 to 1.

In humans, each nerve cell, or neuron, can at most have one axon. An axon is a nerve fiber that is attached to a neuron and transmits electrical impulses away from the cell. Axons can extend to and transmit signals at a great distance from the nerve body. A neuron without an axon is called an amacrine cell.

The questions asks about the number of axons in a nerve, not a neuron (nerve cell to most people). A nerve and a neuron are not the same thing. There is one axon in a neuron but there are many axons bundled together in a single nerve.
