How many atypical lymphocytes are there?

Not Known

Not too many people know that the atypical lymphocytes are also known as reactive lymphocytes.  It is important to know that these lymphocytes are generally associated with viral illnesses, drug reactions (such as phenytoin),immunisations, radiation, hormonal causes as well as some auto-immune disorders.  The exact number of atypical lymphocytes is not known.  Keep in mind that they are always present in the bloodstream.  Believe it or not, they can be more than 30 µm in diameter with varying size and shape.
