Number of Atoms in a Molecule

How many atoms are there?

Depends on the weight and composition of the substance being measured.

To measure the number of atoms of a pure elemental substance of known weight, one should divide the mass of the substance with its molar weight, and then multiply the result with the Avogadro number (6.022 x 1023 atoms). The resultant product should then be multiplied with the number of atoms in each molecule.
