As you probably know, US associations represent groups of persons banded together for a specific purpose.  There are a lot of associations in the US.  We can really speak about an ascendant trend.  The number keeps growing every year.  Statistics show that in 2009, there were 90,908 trade and professional associations, and 1,238,201 philanthropic or charitable organizations.  It is important to understand right from the beginning that a sense of community coordination is at the heart of these associations.
