How many arteries are there in the heart?
It is interesting to know that there are two main coronary arteries. Keep in mind that there is the right coronary artery and the left coronary artery. Moreover, the right coronary artery splits off into two more arteries, known as the right marginal artery and the posterior descending artery. Needless to say, the left coronary artery splits into two additional arteries: the circumflex artery and the left anterior descending artery. When we calculate, we have the final result of 6 arteries in the heart.
