Arsenal Football Club is a London based club founded in 1886.  Not too many people know that Arsenal’s fans are often referred to as Gooners.  Keep in mind that the name derived from the team’s nickname, the “Gunners.”  It is interesting to know that a report, from September 2011, shows that Arsenal has an estimated fan base that has reached 100 million supporters worldwide.  This makes Arsenal the third largest team regarding supporters in the world.  It is important to know that Arsenal’s deepest rivalry is with their nearest major neighbors, Tottenham Hotspur.
