How many Anorexics are there in America?

2 to 5% of Americans experience anorexia problems

Studies show that though primarily thought of as affecting women, anorexia affects males as well.  2% of the American women suffer from anorexia and 2.5% of the American women suffer from bulimia.  Statistics do not look too good at all.  Imagine that 5-10% of anorexics that die within 10 years after contracting the disease.  This is terrible.  Needless to say, specialists consider that 18 – 20 % of anorexics die within 20 years after contracting the disease.  Moreover, 30-40% of anorexics fully recover.
