How many Amur leopards are there?

35 in the wild

Believe it or not, there are only 37 Amur leopards left in the wild.  This is definitely a dangerous trend.  How can this be possible?  Which are the main causes of this phenomenon? Loss of their forest habitat represents the main cause of their disappearance.  Not too many people know that the Amur leopard is also known as the Far Eastern leopard, Korean leopard and Manchurian leopard.  In the past, Amur leopards could be found in northeastern China and the Korean Peninsula.
