How many aces are there in a deck?
This is the total number of aces in a deck (one per suit), including Ace of Spades, Ace of Diamonds, Ace of Hearts and Ace of Clubs. A deck of classic playing cards has fifty-two cards: thirteen cards in each of four suits. American playing cards usually contain one or two Jokers.
In almost every type of card games, the aces are considered to be the lowest authority card in the deck; although aces have the highest value in some of the most popular games around the world. However, some games such as poker and blackjack gives the players freedom to decide whether the ace is used as a high or low card.
