Hollywood is an historical center of movie studios and film stars. Hollywood is a district in Los Angeles, and it is world famous on account of its cultural identity. The motion picture camera was invented by Thomas Edison, and Hollywood was created by immigrant Jewish entrepreneurs like Louis B. Mayer, Sam Goldwyn, Jack and Harry Warner. According to the Jewish Post and opinion of December 6, 1974, ‘Jews dominate Hollywood today as they did in infancy. The Jewish presence in Hollywood is an historic fact. A majority of the producers and directors are Jewish while the Writer’s Guild is practically 70 per cent to 100 per cent.’ Most of the senior executives at major studios of Hollywood are Jewish, and most of the writers and producers are also Jewish while there are less Jewish directors in Hollywood. Their overall count and wealth, however, make them a strong and influential lobby. Many high-profile Hollywood artists have visited Israel in connection with their activities relating to art and culture.
