ENFP is an acronym which stands for extraversion, intuition, feeling and perception. It defines one of the sixteen personality types according to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, MBTI. This system of assessment was developed from the work of the famous psychiatrist Carl G.Jung by Isabel Briggs Myers, Katharine Cook Briggs, and Keirsey. Jung typed the personalities on the basis of his clinical observations. ENFP constitute about 7% of the world population; or 8% of of females, and 6% of men. In addition to gender, their occurrence is also influenced by geographical locations. Statistical data analysis reveals the occurrence of ENFPs is 7.6 % in American population, 6.3 % in U.K, 5.5% in New Zealand and 10.11% in the Australian population. The MBTI evaluates the personality on the criteria of an individual being extraverted or introverted, sensitive or intutive, a thinker or a feeler, and a perceiver or a judge.

Conclusion:

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, MBTI, does not mean that the human personalities are confined in sixteen watertight compartments. MBTI is rather an indicator reflecting the most prominent traits and trends of a personality, and helps an individual and those around him or her realize their weaknesses and strengths. It is useful for job seekers to know where they should try to seek a job and it is helpful for the employers to enable them short-list the potential candidates.
