Tom Brady (Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr.) is an American Football player for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL) and having positional play as Quarterback. He succeeded to become the youngest Quarterback in the history of National Football League in year 2002 and led his team to Super Bowl victory. In fact, Brady is the only quarterback to win six Super Bowls for his team and also, holds the record for the most total Super Bowl touchdown passes. Brady had received great career heights before he was thirty years old.

  • Brady was born on August 3, 1977 in San Mateo, California. He played both football and baseball at Junipero Serra High School, excellently. He got graduated in the year 1955 and was able to grab a chance to play professional baseball to go to the University of Michigan.
  • Brady was the youngest child and only son of Galynn and Tom Brady. In the family of Brady, all were sports enthusiasts. His three sisters (Maureen, Nancy and Julie) played sports like softball, soccer and basketball in an indifferent style and he was always present at their games to cheer them on.
  • Brady had a great interest for football in his early age only. He used to attend San Francisco 49ers games with his family every Sunday to see his favorite team playing.
  • Brady played as a backup quarterback, initially, for the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft. In the 2001 season, Drew Bledsoe got injured and was, therefore, replaced by Brady who proved to be a strong leader with a powerful arm. He led his team to make an impressive record of 11 wins to 3 losses in the 14 games started by him. He also helped the team, in the post-season, to win over the St. Louis Rams at Super Bowl XXXVI and won MVP award for the game.
  • After leading the New England Patriots to win the Super Bowl second time in year 2004, Tom Brady was found in a whirlwind of celebrations. Brady was seen in a television advertising ad, immediately after the victory, along with a long line of athletes. In the advertisement, the narrator asks Brady, “What are you going to do next?” and he replies, “I am going to Disneyworld.” This commercial was aired in 1987 and the phrase “I am going to Disneyworld” became a popular part of the American pop culture.
  • Brady was sidelined with a knee injury, during the first game of the 2008 season. He had to undergo several surgeries and he came back to prove the doubters wrong, who were thinking that it would be an end to his football career. He entered into a new contract with the team in 2010. However, in the 2011 season, Brady was unable to help the team secure their place at Super Bowl XLVI and the New York Giants defeated the Patriots.
  • In the thirteen full seasons of Brady as a starter, the Patriots have earned six strips to the Super Bowl, winning four. Brady has won three Super Bowl MVP awards, two league MVP awards(2007,2010), has been selected to ten Pro Bowls and has succeeded in leading his team to win twelve division titles, which is more than any other quarterback in NFL history.

  • Brady was suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season, as he was accused of being aware about the deflation of footballs by Patriots employees before the AFC Championship game. Brady did not cooperate with the investigators, though he continued to maintain his innocence.
  • Brady is also a popular celebrity and was chosen as one of the People’s Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” in year 2002. Brady also hosted the popular comedy TV show, “Saturday Night”, in year 2005.
  • Brady split up with his longtime girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan, in the late 2006. She gave birth to their son, John Edward Moynahan, in August of 2007. Brady married the model, Gisele Bündchen, in February of 2009 and a son was born to them in December of the same year.
