The ivory billed woodpecker is an endangered species of the bird family. Here are some interesting facts about this little known bird!

Fact 1:

After vanishing in the 1940’s, the ivory-billed woodpecker reappeared in a short video in the year 2005. However, searching parties returned empty handed, which again put the existence of the ivory-billed woodpecker under question! (EHOW)
