A certified nursing assistant (CNA) plays the role of assisting patients with healthcare needs, and works under the supervision of either a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or a registered Nurse. A CNA must have studied nursing and passed the licensing examination. A CNA can work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and clinics.
