Fact 1 Childhood Days

Blake Shelton was born on the 18th of June, 1976 in Ada Oklahoma. His father was a dealer of used cars and his mother owned a beauty salon. He grew up with his brother Richie and sister Endy. He had a close relation with his brother and at his death in 1990, he wrote a song about him “Over You”. From this time, his talent was recognized by all around. After graduating in 1994, at the age of 17, he moved to Nashville to pursue his career as a songwriter and a vocalist.

Blake is an inborn artist. From his middle school days he had won the hearts of many. He wrote songs and played the guitar that was filled with passion. The first song that he wrote at the age of 15 only won for him the top award for young entertainers in Oklahoma, the Denbo Diamond Award when he was just 16 years old. In Nashville, he sold the songs he had written to many renowned music publishing houses. Thereafter his first solo was released, “Austin” that occupied the topmost position on the Country Billboard continuously for five weeks in the year 2001. After this single, there was no looking back for Shelton. The 3 albums that were released after this were Gold-certified.

Fact 3 His Family Life

He was married to Kaynette Williams in 2003 on the 17th of November. But this union did not last very long and they divorced in 2006. Blake continued with his songs and albums, and music career in full form until in 2011 he married his girlfriend Miranda Lambert on the 14 th of May. They lived in Tishomingo, Okla on a farm with their pet dogs and other animals. From this time he started working on the NBC Show as a vocal coach in “The Voice” along with Christina Aguilera. His love life did not last for long and they divorced in 2015.

The talented artist and songwriter had won awards from his teenage. First, he was awarded the Denbo Diamond Award in 2001. Warner Brothers released his first debut album that was self-titled in 2002 and his singles “Ol Red” and “All Over Me” won gold status. Shelton released his “The Dreamer in February 2003 and one of its singles, “The Baby” occupied the number 1 position for 3 weeks on the country music charts. Among the other singles, his “Heavy Liftin” and “Playboys of the Southwestern World” were among the top 50s. His “The Dreamer” was a golden hit. Blake Shelton released many other albums in a row after his tremendous successes in 2004 like “Barn & Grill”, “Some Beach”, “Goodbye Time”, and “Nobody but Me”. He released a video album too “Blake Shelton’s Barn $ Grill: A Video Collection”. He released “Pure BS” at the beginning of 2007. His full-length albums, “Startin’ Fires in 2009” and EP s “Hillbilly Bone” and “All About Tonight” came to the floors in 2010. He won the CMA Song of the Year Award for his song “Over You” which he had composed in memory of his brother in 2012. Shelton released his eighth studio album, “Based on a True Story” in 2013.

Fact 5 As A Mentor

He appeared as a judge in the TV Reality Show on Nashville Star in 2007. Apart from the TV competitive gig “Voice”, where he mentored for 4 years, he was a coach for another show called “Clash of the Choirs” also. In 2013, he won the two most prestigious CMA honors from the Country Music Association as the male vocalist of the year.
