Those exposed often become more sluggish, dull, and susceptible to infections. About 150,000 – 300,000 kids under 18 months of age who experience bronchitis, pneumonia, or other unsavory respiratory infections from passive smoking exposure — which constitutes to about 7,500 – 15,000, need to be hospitalized to receive proper care and treatment.
