Change How You Change

When “change” became the watchword of the day, the present generation was presented with a number of challenges. They are to shun the changes that are insidious; they are to hug changes that are amiable and progressive. They are to filter the reformations and replace some of their habits with better ones. Mr. Kausik, a senior educational consultant, accepts the above-mentioned thought saying, “The recurrent changes taking place around me have taken my personality into new dimensions. Some changes have been forced upon me, whereas a few have been accepted by me on my own account.”

Interestingly, here lies the significance of the dictum “change how you change.” The present situation has forced even the very rigid to adapt themselves to the changes or to assimilate them. What is happening in the social milieu is getting reflected in other milieus too. Protesting changes will never be a healthy stand. Resisting changes leads to stagnancy, and life never gets rolling.

While resisting changes may be about stagnancy, at the heart of the dissent lies a deeper enigma—the right attitude to change.

On one side, one is forced to comply with the emerging changes. On the other side, unnecessary and frivolous changes question your integrity. Why don’t we learn to approach changes with the right attitude? Current outbursts of changes and the potential damage that will be caused by resisting them demands one to develop the right attitude for them.

It is becoming imperative for a common man to change himself to fit into the changing scenario ranging from morality and culture to career and social responsibilities.

People are less apprehensive to changes in their social and family responsibilities. As the cycle of life takes a full circle, how many different roles are taken up by an individual? Each and every individual is clear as to what glorifies his or her role and what sullies it. Though there are moments when one wonders which way to go, before long he or she gets to rebuild confidence. Social and filial changes are easily assimilated by one. Prompted by the need for the best discharge of responsibilities, one mediates the best with the changes.

Changes often question consistency. It requires continuous and constant revamping of our schedules and strategies. One needs to personalize the changes to fit his or her individual needs. In the case of careers, one may need dedicated expertise and resources to support him or her in adapting to the changes. While trying to catch up with the thrust of changes, essential life skills will surely help the individuals transform themselves and set them up for long and fulfilling careers.

Changes are often patronized by social, political, and economic needs. When changes in different regimes go peripheral, they become grotesque and burdensome. When changes happen from within, you will discover what it is to relish in adapting ourselves to changes. Most importantly, you learn how to adapt no matter what the circumstances are.

Self-change is the best way to fit oneself into the changing world. Whether it be in the family or at the workplace, nothing could help you as effectively as self-change. People often grumble about how they fail to adjust with others. They often complain how certain things are getting on their nerves. The easiest way is to change ourselves willingly after close scrutiny of the demands that befall us. At this point, the need for change to come deep within us is also worth mentioning. When people decipher the need for such a change and the dimension of the change required, they find it the easiest. Better adaptability, an explorative nature, a daring personality, and a keen curiosity are some of the qualities one should possess to implement better sensitivity to changes.

The rampant changes are laying it thick for humans. The success saga of those who have complied with changes inspire others to dare to keep pace with the changing world.
