Everybody likes a bit of magic from time to time. Here is a list of books about Magic.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling

First in the Harry potter series, this book is the ace of all books about magic. It is a story of an orphaned boy, who is actually a wizard. This book and the others in the series talk about his education at the school of witchcraft, his friendships and passions, his rise to fame and his final victory over the dark sorcerer Voldemort.

Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins

This is a story of a young girl, Sophie. Her parents are divorced and she is sent to the magician’s school called Hex Hall. Here she is caught up in a war between the Prodigium and the human organizations which she fights alongside the love of her life, the magician and healer Cal.

The Magicians by Lev Grossman

Soon to be adapted as a television series by SyFy, this book traces the journey of a young magician Quentin Coldwater through his education as a magician, his brilliant career, his sullenness and lack of social skills and his brilliant magic.

They are rescued at the last moment only to be captured again by the Krullians who are planning to use them as sacrifice.
